[ARCHIVED] Daggett County Newsletter

DecemberNewsletter

Many fond memories are created this way especially if it becomes a tradition here in Daggett County. In mid November many of the county employees attended the Utah Association of Counties Conference in St. George, Utah. This conference centers around becoming familiar with legislative initiatives and bringing forth the funding needs of our County. Many training sessions were held providing the latest information necessary to keep us up to date with new standards and compliance issues. Elections took place last week and the results will be finalized later this week. The date was out of the ordinary due to the resignation of Rep. Chris Stewart. It was determined extra time was essential for the candidates running to fill this important position. Now that the 2023 Elections are almost complete we are preparing for the 2024 Elections. Anyone interested in being a candidate needs to know that the Candidate Filing in 2024 is from January 2, 2024 through January 8, 2024. The listing of open positions and additional information is posted at www.daggettcounty.org/ elections or you can visit us or call the Clerk’s Office at 435-784-3154 for more information. As we move into December, may the spirit of Christmas abound in the hearts of all and bring peace, love and joy to everyone.
