[ARCHIVED] Daggett County Experiences Magnitude 2.8 Earthquake On Sunday

Earthquakes are happening all the time and while one recorded in Northeastern Utah over the weekend was still just a Micro Earthquake, it is among the largest recorded this month in Utah. According to the University of Utah Seismograph Stations, the Magnitude 2.8 quake was recorded in Daggett County on December 15th at 9:28am. The location was pinned about 29 miles west and southwest of Dutch John and recorded at a depth of 6.5 miles. The Earthquake Hazards program website invites reports by those who feel an earthquake. As of Monday morning, there were no reports from citizen scientists of having felt the Magnitude 2.8 Earthquake in Daggett County on Sunday.
