Drowning Incident Report

This report details a drowning incident that occurred on Dec 18, 2025 at Flaming Gorge

in Daggett County, Manila, UT.

● Date of Incident: December 18th, 2025

● Location: Flaming Gorge, Manila, UT Place

● Victim: Male, 68 years old

● Type of Incident: Drowning


Details

On the evening of December 18th a dispatch call came into Daggett County for an

overdue party that had been camping and fishing at Lucerne Marina in Daggett County.

The individual was due home on the 18th and hadn’t been heard from. Daggett County

Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Forest Service Officer began the search for the individual

that evening and into the early morning of December 19th with the help of Daggett County

Search and Rescue, Federal Forest Service Officer’s and DNR Officer they were able to

locate the missing individual and his boat capsized upon the lake side around the Jug

Hollow area. The nature of the incident was a confirmed drowning. The deceased has

been identified as 68 old Brad Flinders from Kamas, UT. No further investigation into the

nature of this incident.

Daggett County Sheriff’s Office urges all individuals to remember to wear life jackets

when recreating on all Utah waters.

They would also like to send thoughts and prayers to the family during this difficult time.
