pursuant to the provisions of the Utah County Land Use, Development, and Management Act, Title 17, Chapter 27a, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended, that on March 18, 2025, the Daggett County Commission of Daggett County, a public subdivision of the State of Utah, will, in accordance with §17-27-a-609.5 U.C.A., consider the vacation of the public street Right-of-Way located at 100 North Street, located within the Townsite of Manila, Utah, more commonly known as:
100 NORTH PUBLIC STREET RIGHT OF WAY:
THAT PORTION OF A STRIP OF LAND MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS 100 NORTH STREET OF
MANILA TOWNSITE, RUNNING FROM THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 100 WEST
STREET TO THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 200 WEST STREET.
A formal legal description of said right-of-way is attached herewith as Exhibit A. In accordance with §17-27a-609.5(3) U.C.A., the basis for the Petition is the proposed vacation of the right-of way, as described in Exhibit B represents an area that:
1) Has never been used as a public roadway;
2) Will never be used as a public roadway;
3) No private citizens will be materially injured by the vacation of said right-of-way;
4) Has been used exclusively as a part of the Daggett County Park and rodeo grounds;
5) Has at all times pertinent been maintained and serviced by Daggett County; and
6) It is necessary to acquire the underlying property for the building of the new Daggett
County Health Clinic.
In accordance with § 17-27a-609.5(2)(b) U.C.A., written notice of this petition has been provided to all affected utilities, culinary water and sewer facilities to wit:
1) Union Wireless
2) Bridger Valley Electric
In accordance with § 17-27a-609.5(2)(a), the names and address of each owner of record of land that is adjacent to said right-of-way, or access exclusively by said right-of-way are the following:
1) Daggett County, PO Box 219, 95 North 100 West, Manila, UT 84046
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that during the regularly scheduled County Commission Meeting, on March 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as feasible, in the County Administration Building located at 95 North 1st West, Manila, Utah, Daggett County will hold a public hearing to receive input from the public with respect to the vacation of said right-of-way. A copy of the proposed Ordinance approving said vacation is on file in the Daggett County Clerk’s office where is may be examined during regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
