May 30 will be the last day for those property owners to conduct open burning. Remember this is a Division of Air Quality regulation. Additionally the State Closed Fire Season will begin on June 1st. This means that burning in the unincorporated areas of the county (Uintah or Daggatt) will require a permit issued by the Division of Forestry Fire and State Lands. For simplicity the application can still be found at DAQ website. There still remains the exception for certain types of agriculture burning which does not require a permit but does not mean all agriculture is exempt. FFSL burn permits will only be reviewed and issued during normal business hours Mon-Thurs.
